Being aware of what you actually put in your stomach is a very important in determining your health. What you eat is actually who you are. The liver can also help in heavy metal detox. It actually excretes metal in the bile and reabsorbs them. The kidney also has a mechanism that dispose of heavy metals the body absorbs. Kidneys produce metallothionein, which can actually neutralize the mercury in one’s body. If heavy metal detox is not properly administered, mercury can actually cause renal failure and symptoms of mercury poisoning would be evident.
